With the rise of smartphones, everything is now easier and faster. Blogging especially is now something that can be done instantly from anywhere, requiring nothing more than an iPhone and a mobile broadband connection.

The Best Blogging Apps for Android Phones

While we are discussing blogging and mobile phones together, it becomes imperative for us to discuss about some of the best blogging apps for android phone. These blogging apps more than just simplify blogging. They facilitate an improved social interactions by reducing the distance between you and your blogs.

You now, do not have to be in front of your computer to post that interesting article that you were itching to post. Neither will you have to carry your laptop everywhere you go. All that you will need is a phone with one of these blogging apps installed.

Here are five of the top blogging apps for Android phones.

Tumblr

Tumblr is a popular micro-blogging service. Any content including pictures and videos can be posted to the service. The app brings this functionality and puts it in the mobile space. Users can browse Tumblr with the app, but blog posts and drafts can also be created or edited.

The app even includes a widget that’s dedicated to the creation of new posts. Between this and other features, such as support for multiple blogs, the Tumblr app is clearly geared towards users who want to frequently update their account

Blogger

Blogger is Google’s official app to access their popular blogging service of the same name. The tool has a straightforward and clean interface, allowing users to quickly create new entries to their blog. All a person has to do is add a title, write their content, and submit it.

There’s much more functionality available, though. For instance, pictures can quickly be added to the blog, allowing users to take photos with their phone and quickly share them to the blog. With support for multiple Blogger accounts and support from Google, Blogger is a terrific app for anyone who uses the service.

WordPress

WordPress stands as one of the most popular blogging services on the web. Unlike services like Tumblr, WordPress is designed for bloggers that write a lot of in-depth content. The mobile app lets users quickly edit their content and create new post. All that it requires is a user’s device and a mobile broadband connection.

Support for moderating comments on blog posts is also included. The UI is very easy to get around, using a simple layout and two-tone color scheme to make navigation easy.

One of the coolest features of the WordPress app is that it lets users manage blogs that aren’t even hosted on WordPress. With new additions made to the editor in the most recent version, WordPress is more effective than ever.

Posterous Spaces

Posterous Spaces is a lesser-known service, but one that deserves a little bit of attention. And, with over 100,000 downloads in the Android Market, the app is more than a little popular.

Posterous Spaces lets users post blogs to certain individuals. For example, users can set their content to only be available to close friends or family members. Text, photos, and videos can all be shared with the app, making it ideal for someone who wants to share their personal experiences with a select few people.

The app isn’t all about being private, though. Posterous Spaces users can make public spaces, and have the option to mirror their public posts to larger networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

LiveJournal

LiveJournal is the official app for users of the service to manage their accounts. LiveJournal features a very simplified interface. Controls are located at the top of the app, including functions to take a photo, select an existing photo and edit the appearance of       text.

With the app, users can manage content that they’ve already published. Similar to WordPress, LiveJournal’s app also allows for moderation of comments. New posts can also be created using a built-in editor that’s full of features. Additionally, LiveJournal users can quickly create polls for other members of the community to vote in.

Which of these blogging apps do you use?

All of these apps are officially provided by the owners of the service. This means that on top of the great features, users are getting a product that will be updated regularly. Anyone who owns an Android phone and uses the services mentioned here should get the corresponding app immediately.

So which of these blogging apps do you use? We would love to hear from you.
