At times I feel that the term social media is used so much these days that people like you and me get so overwhelmed that simply lose sight of what we had set out to do at the first place.

I still remember, about 8 years back Social Media was a term that was used for a handful of sites like Facebook and Twitter. And today, you have a list of sites, all of which fall in the category of social media sites and everybody and his dog is trying to exploit one or, all of these sites in their marketing efforts.
