Another New Year, a lot of New Year Resolutions and a lot of plans to grow your business.
One of my goals for this year (that I had set at the beginning of the year) was to write better content with more valuable information. I partially succeeded in doing that and write some good posts on content marketing tips, which got decent attention as well but overall, most of the year was a washout in terms of my goals. Except for a few, pretty much every other goal was a miss.
Marketing my content is an area that I need to work seriously on. Social media was another area where the focus drifted in the mid of the year.
I had started podcasting in March of 2015 and was on track with my plan of publishing one podcast every week. But somehow, things lost steam in January of 2016.
Reasons could be many, including focusing on a lot of projects at a time. But, I would call all of them as excuses and I could have done better.
I am targeting at least 2 episodes per week for this year and I will ensure that I am living upto it.
But from an overall business standpoint, the last year was not that bad. I was able to grow my revenue and was able to achieve lot many other goals that I had set for my business.
Nevertheless, it is time to move on and plan for 2017.
